National Geographic Learning Online Placement Test

I worked at National Geographic Learning ELT for over two years, building beautiful learning tools by transforming their award-winning textbooks into interactive, digital tools.

📌 My largest project was the Online Placement Test.
Using real-world content and photography, the test places learners into one of 14 CEFR bands (Pre-A1 to C1) and provides an overview of their listening, reading, and language skills. It was a great challenge for my team and it a wonderful product for teachers. This involved two rounds of quality testing with over 20k students worldwide.

Here are some other contributions I made at NGL:

🛠️ I collaborated with our dev team to fine-tune the CMS and build new exercise types, like crosswords, read-alongs, and essay drafting.

📚 I owned product roadmaps and improved processes between editorial and product for the seamless production of digital-first content.

🐛 I found (and recorded) a lot of bugs—ensuring a smooth experience for learners and helping us meet deadlines.
